Weekly VoIP Hurricane Prep Net Cancelled Due to Monitoring for Tropical Storm Lala – Expected to Become a Hurricane near the Big Island of Hawaii

The VoIP Hurricane Net is considering net activation for Tropical Storm Lala which is expected to become a hurricane near the big island of Hawaii. At minimum, a listening watch will be maintained for any stations in the affected area and we will potentially provide occasional updates on the status of Lala and impacts on Hawaii. Given this situation, we will cancel the regular session of the VoIP Hurricane Prep Net and resume next Saturday, 8/22/26 at the normal time. Additional activation or listening watch mode info on Lala will follow later tonight or Saturday Morning. Thanks to all for the continued support of the VoIP Hurricane Net!
