Our scheduled net control had an unexpected issue late this evening so unfortunately we have had to again cancel the net. We will resume again in 2 weeks on Saturday September 12th 2026 at 8 PM ET due to the Labor Day Holiday weekend next weekend.

We have yet to put out a more formal notice and we will do so over the next couple weeks but as stated previously, we could use additional net controls for both our weekly net and net activations. Some of our regular net controls and net management team members are experience life changes and other life related items affecting their schedules more so than normal and in some cases last minute and out of their control. If you are interested in being a net control, please message me off list and we can provide details. Many thanks to all!

Hello to all…

The VoIP Hurricane Net is considering net activation for Tropical Storm Lala which is expected to become a hurricane near the big island of Hawaii. At minimum, a listening watch will be maintained for any stations in the affected area and we will potentially provide occasional updates on the status of Lala and impacts on Hawaii. Given this situation, we will cancel the regular session of the VoIP Hurricane Prep Net and resume next Saturday, 8/22/26 at the normal time. Additional activation or listening watch mode info on Lala will follow later tonight or Saturday Morning. Thanks to all for the continued support of the VoIP Hurricane Net!
