VoIP Hurricane Net Activation Plans for Hurricane Isaias Update As of 8/1/20 – 930 PM EDT

Hello to all…

Isaias has weakened to a 70 MPH tropical storm affecting as of the 8 PM EDT – Saturday 8/1/20 advisory. The latest forecast track brings Isaias near the coast of Florida with a possible landfall in extreme East Central Florida. Isaias will affect East-Central Florida over much of Sunday into Monday Morning and we are looking at net activation plans Sunday Morning through early Monday Morning. We will fine tune those details at the top of Sunday Morning. VoIP Hurricane Net Management team members will monitor the *WX_TALK* Echolink conference node: 7203/IRLP 9219 system over the course of the evening and early morning Sunday for any questions and updates out of Florida and update activation plans with specific details early Sunday Morning after conferring with coordinators from WX4NHC, the Amateur Radio station at the National Hurricane Center and seeing later forecast tracks and guidance from the National Hurricane Center. Future activation beyond this weekend will be determined based on the track, speed and intensity of Isaias.

Advisories on Isaias can be seen off the main menu of the voipwx.net web site, via our voipwxnet social media feeds on Facebook and Twitter and at the National Hurricane Center web site at the following link:
