The net is now meeting on the FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH *ONLY*, now that it is the hurricane “off season”. The EXCEPTION is the January, 2016 Net, because January 2 is in the New Years Holiday Weekend. So, the net for next month will be on Saturday, January 9, 2016. The net will go back to every Saturday on June 4, 2016. In short, if you show up any Saturday besides the second Saturday in January, or the first Saturday of February, March, April, or May…you won’t find anyone here.

The net was one hour earlier tonight (Dec. 5, 2015), to coincide with the end of Skywarn Recognition Day. It goes back to its regular time of 8pm Eastern, 7pm Central, 6pm Mountain, and 5pm Pacific Time, starting next month.

There is a possibility that the off season nets (January through May) will have “training presentations”. On those nights, checkins and comments will be taken by Net Management, and possibly Skywarn Coordinators ONLY. All other checkins will be CALLSIGNS ONLY, to allow plenty of time for the Training Presentations.

Watch the Yahoo Groups and Facebook page for updates on both of these items.
