Advisories from the National Hurricane Center, and the Storm Prediction Center follow the net news…with information on other weather related nets during the week, following the NHC and SPC information. Data from the NHC and SPC is current as of net time, as noted in item 1 below.
1) The net is now WEEKLY, at 8pm EDT, 7pm CDT, 6pm MDT, 5pm PDT/MST, 0000 UTC. Effective the first Sunday in November the net time in MST and UTC will be one hour later. The net will remain weekly through the end of November. If an actual net activation is in progress for areas of the Atlantic Basin on Saturday evening, due to a hurricane threatening the areas, the training net for that week is cancelled.
2) Make sure that if you connect to the net via Echolink, that Conference Mode is DISABLED on your system. Otherwise, you’ll be immediately disconnected.
3) Repeater and link control operators should make the necessary adjustments to minimize the occurrence of courtesy tones, squelch tails, hang times, or other sounds that might interfere with net operations. Stations with persistent interference will be muted, or blocked from the net until the problem can be fixed.
4) Please wait at least 1 to 2 seconds after you key up, to allow all of the link systems to rise. Otherwise, the first part of your transmission will be cut off, and you may not be logged. Also, please use ITU phonetics, as that helps Net Control get the correct callsign.

Southeast US D-Star Weather Net. Sunday night at 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, 6pm Pacific, on Reflector 002 Port A.
Checkins and weather reports are taken from the southeast U.S. States of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas FIRST…then from other states. Checkins are also taken via D-Rats on the Southeast US D-Star Weather Net Ratflector at any time during the net, at SEWX.RATFLECTOR.COM — voice checkins are taken via the quick key format…please listen to Net Control for when the state in which you are located is called. Note that if the Southeast US D-Star Weather Net Ratflector is down at net time, checkins for the net will be taken on Reflector 2 A Only.
DV Dongle, DVAP, and Hotspot users should connect directly to Reflector 2 A…while RF stations should connect to their area D-Star repeater that is linked in. Stations should be sure to have any beaconing, etc. disabled. Note that if there is a problem with Reflector 2 A, the backup setup is on Reflector 4 A.

Weather Radio Listeners Net. Monday night at 7pm Eastern, 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, 4pm Pacific, on IRLP Node 9038, and on the VE3ZHR Echolink Conference Server, Node Number 591897.
Gord, VA3WXA, is the main Net Control station, with others serving as needed.
The primary purpose of this net is to provide an on air forum for discussion on the Weather Radio service, which is provided by Environment Canada, and the National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration. In Canada, it is known as Weatheradio Canada; and in the US it is known as NOAA Weather Radio All Hazard.
The other purpose for the net is to promote the Weather Radio Listeners Newsletter, which is published quarterly in February, May, August and November. It is available through email distribution, and you can also follow us on Twitter. The email address to get on the mailing list is wxrnewsletter at gmail dot com — and the Twitter handle is @WxrNewsletter.
Like the newsletter, the main topic is Weather Radio, but other related subjects are also fair game such as: Emergency Communications, CANWARN, and SKYWARN…although the newsletter has more flexibility.
