Atlantic Tropical Weather Outlook Update – 6/30/14 at 200 PM EDT/1800 UTC

Hello to all..

The first tropical depression of the 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season may be forming soon. An Air Force Reconnaissance aircraft is enroute to investigate a low pressure area located about 125 miles east of Melbourne Florida. This low has gotten more organized today with environmental conditions becoming more conducive for development. If this system becomes a tropical cyclone, a Tropical Storm Watch could be required for portions of the central and northern Atlantic Coast of Florida. This system could impact portions of the Southeast United States over the next couple of days as its current southwest movement turns to a more northerly and northeast motion over the next few days.
