Along with tours of the aircraft, it is an opportunity to meet US National Hurricane Center Director, KB5FYA-Bill Read, Senior Hurricane Specialist, Lixion Avila and Tropical Analysis and Forecast Branch (TAFB) meteorologist Scott Stripling along with Air Force Reservists from the 53rd Reconnaisance Squadron, 403rd Wing, Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi.

If any of our Caribbean or Mexican Amateurs visit the tour, we’d like to hear back on how it went and who they were able to meet on the tour and we hope this message will get the word out to all Caribbean and Mexican Amateurs in hurricane prone areas to visit the tour and to prepare themsleves for the upcoming 2011 Atlantic Hurricane Season and participate in the hurricane nets that support WX4NHC, the Amateur Radio Station at the National Hurricane Center, which is now entering its 31st year of service.
Thanks to all for their continued support of the VoIP Hurricane Net!
