Subtropical Storm Beryl Update – 1100 AM EDT/1500 UTC Sunday 5/27/12

Hello to all..

Subtropical storm Beryl is now moving westward and will affect portions of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia today through Monday Morning making landfall in Northeast Florida late tonight or early Monday. Beryl is now a 60 MPH Sub-Tropical Storm and is expected to make the transition to a tropical storm today. Beryl is still not anticipated to make hurricane strength but this will be monitored closely. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from the Volusia/Brevard county line Florida to Edisto Beach South Carolina. At this time, no VoIP Hurricane Net activation or activation of WX4NHC is expected but Beryl will be closely monitored throughout tonight and Monday in case the forecast changes. If ARES, SKYWARN and other EMCOMM groups in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida have a need to use the *WX-TALK* Echolink conference node: 7203/IRLP 9219 system as Beryl makes landfall and affects their region, it is available for their usage.
