Atlantic Tropical Update – 8/24/10

The Atlantic Tropical season is starting to get into full swing. In addition to Hurricane Danielle, a new tropical depression is likely going to form later today near the Cape Verde Islands and advisories are likely to be initiated today for this system. If that occurs, this will be the 7th tropical depression of the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season. If it increases into a tropical storm, it would be named Earl. An update on this system will occur later today if it becomes a tropical depression.

The VoIP Hurricane Net Management Team continues to closely monitor the progress of Hurricane Danielle and this area of disturbed weather near the Cape Verde Islands of Africa. Thanks to all for their continued support of the VoIP Hurricane Net!
