Tropical Storm Edouard formed over the Northern Gulf of America (Mexico) Monday and has the potential to reach hurricane strength prior to landfall on the Northwest Gulf Coast between Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. A Hurricane Watch is posted from High Island to Cameron Louisiana with a Tropical Storm Warning from Port Bolivar to the Vermilion/Iberia Parish line. A Storm Surge Warning is in effect from High Island to the Vermilion/Iberia Parish line. If Edouard continues to strengthen through the day as expected, a short fused, short duration Hurricane Net activation is likely for surface reports in and around the affected area of Edouard. This would likely be during the course of Tuesday late PM/Evening into early Wednesday AM.
