Hello to all…

Tropical Storm Claudette has formed in the Northern Atlantic about 290 miles south-southeast of Nantucket Massachusetts. Claudette has maximum sustained winds of 50 MPH. Little change in strength is expected tonight followed by weakening and a transition to a post-tropical system over the next couple of days. Advisories for Tropical Storm Claudette can be seen off the main menu of the voipwx.net web site as well as on our Facebook and Twitter feeds. Advisories can also be seen on the National Hurricane Center web site via the following link:

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

At this time, Claudette is no threat to land and is expected to remain below hurricane strength and VoIP Hurricane Net activation appears unlikely. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) web site is being updated. A preview of the new web site can be seen at the following link:

On the preview link, comments can be provided on the new look of the web site. The new look is similar to the local National Weather Service forecast office web site revamps and the revamp to the Storm Prediction Center web site that have taken place in the last 12-18 months. Now is a chance to see what the new NHC web site looks like and provide comments on changes and improvements to the look of the web site.
