Hello to all..

Tropical Depression (TD) 3 forms in the Southern Gulf of Mexico. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued from Indian Pass to Englewood Florida. A Reconnaissance aircraft will be investigating the system and provide a better idea of intensity later this afternoon. The main threat with TD 3 is heavy rainfall and some coastal storm surge flooding. Tropical storm force conditions will affect Florida as early as Monday Afternoon.

Advisories on TD 3 can be found off the main menu of the VoIP Hurricane Net web site, via the voipwxnet Facebook and Twitter feeds and the National Hurricane Center web site via the following link:

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

At this time, TD 3 is expected to remain below hurricane strength but the VoIP Hurricane Net Management Team will continue to closely monitor its progress. Local and regional SKYWARN groups in Florida and other parts of the Southeast US should monitor and report conditions via their local/regional SKYWARN reporting criteria and seek local leadership for any potential activation of their networks. Thanks to all for their continued support of the VoIP Hurricane Net!
