Tropical Storm Claudette Forms in the Northern Atlantic 290 miles south-southeast of Nantucket Massachusetts

Tropical Storm Claudette has formed in the Northern Atlantic about 290 miles south-southeast of Nantucket Massachusetts. Claudette has maximum sustained winds of 50 MPH. Little change in strength is expected tonight followed by weakening and a transition to a post-tropical system over the next couple of days. Advisories for Tropical Storm Claudette can be seen off the main menu of the voipwx.net web site as well as on our Facebook and Twitter feeds. At this time, Claudette is no threat to land and is expected to remain below hurricane strength and VoIP Hurricane Net activation appears unlikely.
