Tropical Depression (TD) #6 Forms in the Far Eastern Atlantic Ocean

Tropical Depression (TD) #6 has formed in the far Eastern Atlantic Ocean. TD 6 is expected to traverse the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean over the next 5 days and is expected to reach Tropical Storm status on Sunday and potentially hurricane strength on Monday. If TD 6 intensifies as expected, the system will be named Danielle. Advisory information can be seen on the VoIPWXNet web site by looking under Atlantic Tropical Products off the Main Menu of the web site. At this time, computer models attempt to take TD 6 on a recurvature track harmlessly out over the Atlantic Ocean. It is noted, however, that the system is at a very low latitude at this time and there appears to be a bit of bias in the models where they are taking the system further north than it is actually tracking.
