Tropical Depression #16 Forms Out of Area of Disturbed Weather Near Nicaragua

The area of disturbed weather near Nicaragua and Honduras has formed into Tropical Depression #16. Provided it stays over water long enough and can strengthen further, TD #16 is expected to reach Tropical Storm strength before landfall along the Honduras, Guataemla border in 2-3 days. If the system reaches tropical storm strength, it would be named Paloma. At this time, this system is not expected to reach hurricane strength.
