The following is an organizational chart of the net management team and their roles in the net's operation. It also includes their background and when they were involved in the net.

VoIP Hurricane Net Manager for the EchoLink *WX-TALK* Conference

Kevin is one of the founders of the VoIP Hurricane Net. Kevin ran a net via EchoLink on the *WX-TALK* EchoLink Conference server since 2002 and combined operations with the IRLP side at the start of the 2004 Hurricane Season. Kevin has extensive experience in Emergency Communications as he has served as a local ARES and SKYWARN Emergency Coordinator and District Emergency Coordinator in the Nacogdoches, Texas region. Kevin also participated with the Space Shuttle debris recovery operation in 2003 utilizing the *WX-TALK* EchoLink conference server. Today, Kevin serves as one of the net manager's and assists with operations on the EchoLink side of the system.
Danny Musten-KD4RAA
VoIP Hurricane Net Manager for the IRLP 921 Raleigh Reflector

Danny is also one of the founders of the VoIP Hurricane Net. Danny ran the IRLP side of the net starting first on IRLP reflector 921 channel 0 and then switching to IRLP reflector 921 channel 9. Danny has been involved in the net in some fashion since 2002 and worked with Kevin Anderson to combine the net's operation into one linked system between EchoLink and IRLP in 2004. Danny also began working with John Van Pelt-K4JVP on the StormStudy project and has been down at the scene of landfalling hurricanes with John during the 2005 season. Danny continues to check into the net occasionally and works to keep the Raleigh reflector operational for our net which in turn keeps the *WX-TALK* conference in operation as well since it is now co-located.

Director of Operations for the VoIP Hurricane Net

Rob joined the net as a net control operator in 2004. He began working activation scheduling in 2004 through 2005 before becoming the Director of Net Operations in 2006. Rob brings a strong ARES and SKYWARN background being the Eastern Massachusetts ARES Section Emergency Coordinator and the ARES SKYWARN Coordinator for NWS Taunton. The NWS Taunton SKYWARN program runs a command net using the New England Reflector which serves as a backup to the Raleigh reflector system. Rob runs the day-to-day operations of the monthly/weekly net as well as net activations. Rob attempts to bring a level of preparedness to the net as well as educating those about the VoIP system as well as SKYWARN and what type of reports are needed by the National Hurricane Center Amateur Radio station, WX4NHC.

Dennis joined the net as a Net Control Operator in March 2006 and became the Assistant Director of VoIP Hurricane Net Operations in May 2006. Dennis worked professionally for New Jersey Emergency Management and was the Assistant State RACES Radio Officer for the state of New Jersey and the NWS Philadelphia-Mount Holly SKYWARN Coordinator and is now the Manager of Preparedness and Response at ARRL Headquarters where he works presently and has been working there since July 2007. Dennis brings depth to the net management team and a wealth of knowledge in ARES, RACES and SKYWARN to the team and volunteers steadily for net control duties during the weekly net and net activations as well as a direct tie to ARRL Headquarters.

VoIP Hurricane Net Weekly and Activation Net Control Scheduler

Jim became involved in the VoIP Hurricane Net during the 2005 Hurricane Season as a Net Control Operator. Jim took on the responsibility of being the weekly net control scheduler in January 2006 and added the responsibility of scheduling for activations of the hurricane net in January 2007. Jim is the ARES Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator for the Eastern Massachusetts ARRL Section as well as the North Shore Assistant SKYWARN Coordinator for the same region. Jim brings youth and enthusiasm along with experience to the team.

Tony is one of the pioneers of technical EchoLink, IRLP and VoIP communications in Amateur Radio. Tony has extensive VoIP background from his professional work. Tony also has an interest in weather in his local area as well as hurricanes and has been involved with the net as a net control and technical guru since the net's inception in 2002. Tony has assisted with others within EchoLink and IRLP to bring about the technology to connect EchoLink and IRLP stations together seamlessly. He can also assist with technical configuration for IRLP and EchoLink nodes that operate as links via simplex or on repeaters as well as operation tips for EchoLink PC users. Tony provided the gateway technology to combine the EchoLink and IRLP capabilities into one system in 2004 and provided the digital technology to our net's system and other IRLP reflectors in 2005. Tony is the strong technical leader of the team that can assist with any questions on EchoLink, IRLP or other VoIP modes via Amateur Radio.

VoIP Hurricane Net Control Trainer

Mike "Sparky" Leger-N1YLQ became VoIP Hurricane Net Control Trainer in late March 2008. We are very lucky to have Sparky on the net management team as Net Control Trainer. Sparky has served the VoIP Hurricane Net in several capacities since 2004. Sparky has been an experienced Net Control Operator that has stepped in for numerous Hurricane Net activations over the years and has assisted with contacts in the affected area of hurricanes across portions of the US East Coast as well as other international locations. Sparky has emergency communications experience as an Amateur Radio Operator for the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Taunton, Massachusetts and currently assists with communications, operations and logistical needs for the Florida Coast-to-Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross based in Daytona Beach Florida serving Citrus, Flagler, Lake, Hernando, Marion, Sumter and Volusia Counties of Central Florida. Sparky will now conduct net control training sessions prior to Hurricane Season and on an as needed basis as new net controls step forward to run our net.

Lloyd has been a net control for the VoIP Hurricane Net since 2004. Lloyd joined the team in July 2006 as the Public Information Officer and that fits well since he has done that work in his career for Emergency Management within Oklahoma. Lloyd also brings considerable experience from the Emergency Management field from his professional and volunteer work. Lloyd has served to get the net publicity through the Amateur Radio Newsline and the ARRL Audio News and ARRL web page along with ARRL and ARES E-Letters as well as other technical publications. Lloyd also continues to serve as a net control operator for this net.
